​Island Explorer Schedule

Island Explorer has added a new bus, #11, to the Tremont portion of the Southwest Harbor route. Coming from Bar Harbor, you will take the #7 into Southwest Harbor and switch to the #11 to continue on to Bass Harbor / Tremont and Oktoberfest. Please note that the last time the #11 bus leaves the event are is 4:16PM.

Parking Options

Bass Harbor / Tremont:

If you prefer to drive to the event, there will be parking at the Tremont School and at the Bass Harbor Town Office, both of which are a short walk to the event site. Please note that there is NO parking at the event site itself. 

Southwest Harbor:

There are also several places you can park in Southwest Harbor, in order to catch the #11 Island Explorer bus. 

• Acadia Vendors: This is a free lot. You can catch the #7 bus at Smuggler's Den Campground, changing to the #11 downtown, or walk downtown to catch the #11 bus.​
• Pemetic Elementary School: Free parking
• Southwest Harbor Town lot: Free parking but no overnight parking. Located behind the Town Office, off the Village Greenway.
• Cafe Drydock lot: This is a pay lot. Stay tuned for more details.
