When is the beer tent operating in 2020?
Due to the Coronavirus epidemic shutdown, the Chamber Board has had to make some difficult choices about our 2020 Schedule of Events.
We are all concerned about the health and safety of our residents, seasonal workers and our visitors. Therefore, we are canceling events where large gatherings would naturally form. This year, we are postponing our Acadia's Annual Oktoberfests' 25th season celebration until 2021.
Is there a designated driver price?
Yes, persons not tasting the beers will be admitted for $10.
Is the food included in the price of the tickets?
No, you will purchase your food separately. Some vendors will not be able to accept a credit card - be sure to bring some cash as well.
Is the infusions table happening again this year?
Yes, we currently plan on having the infusions table again. There will be some fantastic new brews and infusions!
Will there be wine at the event?
The Annual Wine Tasting has also been canceled for 2020. Check back for the 2021 schedule.
How many tasting samples can I have?
The brewers will be making short pours and you can taste as many beers as you like, but we encourage you to taste responsibly!
What games will there be at the event?
Beerless pong, corn hole, keg toss, great ball drop and stein hoisting.
Is there a free shuttle service between the village of Southwest Harbor and the Campground?
The Island Explorer will be running on it's Fall schedule. You can see their schedule at: http://www.exploreacadia.com/. The Island Explorer is free of charge.
Are pets allowed at the event?
No. While Smuggler's Den Campground is pet friendly, no pets will be admitted to the event. Service animals are welcome as proscribed by law.
Are children welcome?
Persons under 21 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian in the brew tent. We will be checking ID's at the ticket gate.
Will there be a crafts at the event this year?
Island Arts Association will be hosting a Craft Fair in downtown Southwest Harbor on Saturday, from 10AM to 3PM. There will be a few artists and/or craftspersons exhibiting at the event, under small tents on the lawn - as artists sign up, they will be listed on our vendor page.
